Hey there! Was just wondering if anyone can recommend an independent camera repairman in, or near Derby? I've got two things wrong with my Nikon D5000, one of which I've caused myself. :shake: First problem was that I was getting the message 'Error - Press shutter release again' on the display screen, so had to keep pressing it to get a preview of any sort. Felt like it was sticking inside. Found on the net, someone telling of how you just need to lube the cog/wheel-type things up on the inside, but you've got to strip the camera down in order to do this. Well I did this, and went too flippin' far with the screw removing. I started removing screws from the circular silver rim (the bit that connects to your lens), and one little silver strip of two that were there, flew out. Jacobs said that 'the repair work required is too substantial to effect an economical repair procedure', so wouldn't do it, and didn't give me an estimate on what it would cost. If there's anyone on here that could recommend someone in or around the Derby area, I be so grateful.
Please, no berating me for messing up my camera and making it apparently beyond repair. I know I shouldn't have done it. :bang::bang: Thanks in advance.
