Infra red conversion recommendations

Hi. we have a 20d body that is rarely used now and instead of selling it we were considering having it converted to IR. question is can any one recommend a company to do it ?

here's the company that did my 10D conversion. While I didn't have the 10D converted myself - bought it already done - before I went off to Spain I got it sent off to them for a service, check over and lens calibration. Their service was very good, they were very helpful and knew their stuff.

They also kept full records going back a few years of work carried out as when I gace them my serial number they knew what had been done, when and for who.
 
Whatever you do,DO NOT use Protech. They destroyed a brand new camera I sent then to convert, then tried to palm me off with a well-used secondhand one in it's place, claiming it too was "new".
 
What's the usual price for a converstion? I've an old 350D thats sat in a box collection dust.
 
I had my 20D done by ACS as well. A good job, although it took quite a while (around 8 weeks) because they were very busy.

I used Protech on the strength of my previous mint 450D IR which I bought s/h, I sent a mint 40d to them to be converted and it came back with scratches to the rear LCD screen, I imagine this was the result of removing the eyepiece and laying it down flat on a dirty worksurface, they offered to replace the screen but I no longer had any confidence in them making a tidy job of it so I told them I would do it myself and they sent me the new screen.

They also told me the £250 cost included the return postage but I later found out they had added the return postage to that sum!!

I will try elsewhere for my next IR conversion!

In my case they blamed Warehouse Express, stating that they had sold them a secondhand camera as new. When I mentioned this to the guy (Ben?) from WEX that occasionally comes on here, he went away and checked and came back with their invoice, for a refurbished customer return.

I returned the "new" camera to Protech because, apart from not being new, it had dust under the filter, which put lie to their "clean room" claim.

They simply resold the camera to some poor sod on Ebay.
 
Another recommendation for ACS. I got my 300d converted almost a year ago and have had great results from it.
