Yes
i've been asked by a family friend (this sounds familiar doesn't it) to take some shots of her son (age 10) with his new school uniform on as he's just started at a private school - you know formal portrait style - which is fine, i'll go with that... but while i've got the opportunity of a willing subject (which is rare) i wanted to suggest taking a few other shots with different themes and they could maybe make an album or photobook etc..
i was just looking for some inspiration for the themes.. i was thinking maybe a bit of grungy rock style with tie half undone etc... is that too cliche or what else do you suggest?

i was going to ask how much to charge as well... but the words 'cat' and 'pigeons' spring to mind - pleeeease don't suggest any pricing structures... i'll sort it!! thanks in advance

Props...............

catapult, jar of frog spawn (fake stuff is easy to make), if he is wearing shorts - one sock up and t'other down, shirt flaps hanging out, if heois sitting at a table - chin on hands with elbows on the table looking bored/glum..............basically anything like 'Just William'

He'll be more willing the cooler that he (thinks he) looks. Give him some attitude.
Also maybe think about sitting in/climbing a tree.
Or take an old uniform and get him totally caked in mud as a contrast to the clean new uniform.

cheers guys... certainly given me (and the friend) some food for thought... i'll post the pics up when i'm done
