Insurance and Public Liability

I've just tried to get my equipment insured by aaduki but they wouldn't let me take out public liability insurance as I'm only an amateur photographer at the moment, they only offer it when you turn professional I believe.

As I do sports photography, I'm going to need it to shoot pitchside, is there any other provider which offer public liability without needing to be a professional?

They do a semi pro insurance that gives 1 million public liabilty.

£1m liabilty is an optional extra on photoguards "select" insurance

Aaduki have a semi-pro policy, have you asked them about that. If you intend to sell any pics (even minimal to the local rag) you are classed as semi-pro. Or ask your football club to cover you?

Should have asked them but I've gone with Photoguard now (they were a little bit cheaper as well). Thanks for your help all.

Ask virtually ANY insurance broker, they all do PL insurance no need to go through any photo related site/company.
