Saw this referenced on another website, and the poster was amazed that it still existed on the web. It's the results of his testing of different films and developers, so very personal to his technique, but definitely worth a look. His instructions are to "Hover over the picture to get the details of which film/developer and then click on it for full size renditions."

Interesting that the old favourites like TRIX and FP4 HP5 Pan F and plusx developed in ID11 D76 and Microdol produce the nicest and cleanest tones.
If you choose the film for the inherent grain and developer for the tones you can not go far wrong.
The other way round is always a compromise.
