Hi,

I was unable to get on line at all yesterday, and today, it's taking about 5 minutes to load a site or a page.

This is just to let anybody who will be expecting a parcel tomorrow from me, that they were sent out this morning, and should arrive tomorrow.

In the meantime, BT are working on the Broadband line...... I won't expect an improvement soon then!!:bang::bang:
 
For the last 24hours ive not been able to get onto my own website... and several other random sites.

Now im not able to connect to XboxLive, its failing on the DNS connection...

For all the abuse NTL used to get I never had a problem with them, Virgin Media has been a slippery slope and im getting annoyed with it now.
 
I find the NTL/Virgin Media DNS Cache servers are normally the problem... i know people in my area that have had problems not being able to see sites...
 
If it is the DNS should I be able to go straight to the IP address...

these should be one and the same...

Also is there a way around the issue if it is a borked DNS?
 
you could flush your dns cache

start>run>cmd

ipconfig /flushdns

and see if that works.

to check the dns

start>run>cmd

nslookup

darrynreeder.com

see what ip it gives you.

I'm on Virgin and I can get to your site with no probs
