iOS4 and 3G

Its still in there on my 3gs

there was another update released a couple of days back, 4.0.1, maybe worth trying that?

The option to enable or disable bluetooth disappeared after a few weeks of updating to iOS4, I turned my 3GS off and back on again and all was well.

When I docked it, there were no new updates available. I only upgraded it a couple of days ago so it probably was 4.0.1 (will chack when I get home)

Just tried that, didn't work. :(

Bum.

I'm grabbin at straws here but maybe the network/service provider preferences have been altered during the update? Maybe you could call your network support line and ask if anyone else has had a problem?

Try Settings > General > Reset Network Settings - (Wont delete media etc.)

Sounds like carrier settings have gone whiffy

The 3G on/off is still there in OS4 for me on my 3G. I'm on O2.

Me too

Sounds like the 3G connection settings are wrong then.

Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network

Worth checking these as your data settings (reported as working):

Hmm, when I go to Settings > General > Network I just get a switch to turn Cellular Data on or off

Aha! Sounds like we are getting somewhere....

1. Tap Settings
2. Tap General
3. Tap About.

There should be another update from 3.... says it can take up to 15 seconds for the message to show...

Doh - doing that should force an update request for the latest settings - sounds like you already have them.

Sounds now like you need to contact three and make sure you are all set up tariff wise.

Anyone noticed more dropped calls since the update? I have had 3 occasions where the call dropped out and my screen just showed the apple logo.

Jim

None on my OH's Jim. Maybe worth backing up and doing a full restore to see if it cures the problem.
