iPad and Handbrake

This is driving me nuts. I've got Handbrake 0.9.4, I've chosen 1024 width, keep the aspect ratio, h264 etc and iTunes won't sync it because it says the iPad can't play it.

It seems that using Apple TV works, but shouldn't I be able to use the full 1024 width?

What output format are you converting to? Could that be where the problem lies?

That's me knackered, then. I've got some M4V files that play fine.

Out of interest, have you tried a smaller width?

yeah, the apple tv preset limits it to 960 and that works. i just figured that it'd play at 1024 for best results. perhaps not.

It's probably an audio issue as I've found it very picky about that.

I've got 1280x720 video sync'd quite happily though.

Found the problem. My source framerate was 60fps. Dropped it to 30fps and now it syncs
