Ipad home button problem

Since upgrading to ios5 my iPad seems to be a bit flaky, occasionally safari and some apps shut down unexpectedly and the home button doesn't always work , it'll work fine for a while then needs 3or4 firm presses to get it to do anything

It's under warranty until Thursday so I'm taking it back before then to see a genius

Anybody else having problems

Mine is on 5.01 with no probs, mind it is an ipad2

I am having exactly the same problems but on my iPhone 4.

I went into the Apple shop in Leicester yesterday. Was told to do a factory reset via iTunes.

Done that today and all seems better now.

I should add that the problem arose with the IOS 5 upgrade.

Well I can't fault Apple's customer service, I booked an appointment at the Genius Bar yesterday which was the very last day of the warranty , she said because it was the last day they'd just swap it for a brand new iPad, so they did.

While it was updating connected to their iMac one of the other assistants came over and asked if it was an iPad one, then he picked it up with a look of wonder saying he hadn't seen one before.

OOO it's so heavy, looking at it like I'd bought in an antique

Another + to Apple's customer service, but with regard to the Safari crashing, it does seem to be a bug in ios 5.0.1, there's a long thread ongoing on the Apple Supprt forums about it. Hopefully there will be a firmware upgrade soon to resolve it.
