So the good results come because of good glass placed on a half decent sensor? well, how many of us recommend glass before body on here? Loads.

The wedding planner seems happy to encourage couples to save money and get photography done by their guests and their smart phones.....

Loved the comment at the end by the video guy "sometimes it doesn't work" just what we all need for weddings.

Interesting. I suppose if the quality is there and the apps being used can offer the most creativity for the phone user, it makes sense that these things are happening.

Mind you, the rigs they had, plus the glass they attached to the iPhone does water down the whole 'shot on an iPhone' thing but it's a start and it just adds another dimension to kit choice. In the end, it's still image capture and whether you shoot on a box brownie, a DSLR or a phone, if the clients are happy with the results then there can't be any problem.....

Excellent, loved the bit with the peli at the end. Was expecting him to pop it open and reveal loads of iphones

A couple of pros did it in America first. They shot with the iphone alongside their usual kit just to show it can be done a few months ago. (Their name escapes me now). However they got some decent shots as I remember and some even made it into the album. (so they say). I'm sceptical however.

The whole thing seemed a bit random.

The wedding planner was saying that the guests can save 20% of their wedding budget on the photography and videography.

So .... the guy with the rig - he charges them less because he uses a £500 smartphone and a £200 adapter instead of a £1500 camera body? How does that work? He still has to do all the same work and all the other costs of the lens and rig is still there so how does he do it cheaper just because he saves a £800 on his initial outlay at the start of his business?

If it's not apple geting free advertisement it's Sandisk on the forums, iPhone wedding planner that's must be a joke of the year, unless your wedding is on a budget.

Personally I think it's a bit misleading, it's not shot on just an a iphone really, not unless they all come with a couple of grands worth of lens stuck on the front. The fact they had to use a proper lens suggests the original isn't good enough.
It's a bit like saying I took a picture of the horsehead nebular with an eos 450d, but I glued on the hubble telescope first.

just plain stupid, dont see the point, like what has already been said cant really say its been shot on an iphone when you have a coupld of grands of huge lens strapped to the front of it! lol
