The dollar/pound rate has dropped lately, was 1.65 today so the exchange rates have also changed.

Could be a combination of both, last time I bought from the USA, the rate was about 1.9 or something like 1.65 after the card company or Ebay have charged your card with a much lower exchange rate.

I reckon the exchange rate card company or Ebay use is about US $1.4 to the pound at the moment..

I think the HK dollar tracks the US dollar so that could explain it... some stonkingly high prices all the same, and with the potential for getting caught for VAT on top... OUCH!

There are always people on ebay looking for the sucker and if someone is fool enough to pay those prices then thats their lookout
