we are off to london for the weekend soon and i am thinking of getting a 28-300mm for a walkabout lens. is it worth it quality wise or is it best to just keep switching lenses when the need arises? ps i have a 18-50mm and 70-300mm.

are there any better alternatives??

superzooms are rarely better than separate standard and tele zooms, though I cannot comment on these particular lenses

cant afford the nikon vr so will have to be sigma or tamron!
