Yes
Out at Oulton last weekend and had a couple of "incidents" happen within reach but not when paying total attention, so pointed and fired anyway, caught the action but slightly:lol: out of focus. So, does the AI continue to try to capture the shot whilst shooting so I might get lucky if the shutter is still going and , does IS still function during this time?
I can post example shots if required.
Thanks.

It would be a good start, Exif intact preferably.

Yeah servo focusing still tracks as the shutter is pressed. IS also continues to fiunction.

These I caught but unfortunately oof, would the servo have been trying to get focus during the shots.

The obvious thought would be that you would be doing well to get a sharp shot usng 1/125 sec at 330mm.

Another - were you using AI Focus or AI Servo?

mate time to clean your sensor..

AI SERVO will focus track the subject for the duration the shutter is half pressed or the AF-ON button is pressed depending on how your camera is set up. ideally center focus point should be set.

Camera was in AI servo with centre point focus since I was catching panning shots across the chicane although at that point the cars are moving considerably faster, and yes the sensor is badly in need of a clean.
Thanks guys, I was just hoping for something better from a snap shot taken on the turn, these things always happen when I'm facing the other direction.
