Is there a wireless USB ?

I've just been using my 50D via a USB cable attached to my laptop.
Is there any way to do this via a wireless connection, i.e. USB reciever/transmitter?

yeah, search for wireless usb dongles in google and you'll find a host of them. You'll just need to find the correct usb port of your 50D, (sorry I don't have that camera so can't say which port it is)...

not found one so far,

canon wireless file transmitter is the kittykat but a bit deer

eye fi sd card and adapter can be done for £150 but needs a wireless network not just a lappys adhoc

I’ve been googling and have found a couple of links.
A guy in the U.S. has made his own and in link 1, he shows how he did it.
In link 2, he shows his improved version, much more compact, with more detailed instructions.
Well worth reading if you’re interested.
