Is there such a thing as free noise removal?

Don't mind paying if I have to, but I'd rather not

you could try Neat Image or just google for noise reduction software, quite a few are free or free to try.

Neat image isn't bad, it was all I used for years untill I got noise ninja (not free sadly) Wayne
