Is this a good deal on a D90?

I was at work today and got talking to someone, and out of the conversation we were having he ended up saying he had a friend who purchased a D90, used it once, then got a D300.

Now he said I can buy the D90 (used once), body only for £500. This bloke owns a studio locally and all seems fairly legit.

Has a receipt to prove the age as well. Reckon its worth it?
 
After phoning him again, its £600 body only.

New is £629 with a two year warranty, so might not be such a great deal.
 
Price sounds good at £500 how many clicks? will you get assistance if it has to be sent to get fixed?
 
Yea for £600 he will sell body and 8GB SDHC ultra II card.
 
@ £500 bargain. @600 still ok not a bargain considering only used once and assuming warranty etc hasnt been registered yet and your getting a £16 SD card
 
Warranty has been registered, is it transferable?

Offered him £540 if he cant sell elsewhere.
 
Can't be transferred. You would need him to make the claim as if he still owns it.

500 = yes
600 = no
pay the extra bit and get your own warranty as they are not transferable
 
if i were you i'd be trying to haggle the price

to me a full two years warranty is worth quite a lot
