Can anyone offer some advice on improving images please

shot RAW at 6400 in very low light, (the only way to get a shutter speed of 1/125

Its just the grain I'd like to reduce if at all possible

using Photoshop CS6, anyone have any good methods, processes, tips?

thanks

The raw noise reduction is pretty good in CS6, try holding down alt while you move the sliders it gives you a better idea of whats happening

I've always found Photoshop's noise reduction a little ineffective. While I understand that fundamentally noise reduction algorithms appear to rely on localised blurring to reduce the noise, this blurring is too strong in Photoshop, and is likely to deal poorly with ISO as high as 6400.

If you don't mind splashing out on a plugin, Nik's DFine is the best noise reduction tool I've ever used. I regularly shoot as high as 6400 as I shoot gigs, and DFine sorts out the noise really well in almost all cases.
