Well folks I'm in unexplored territory!

I've just installed Internet Explorer 8 beta 2 on my old laptop! It installed pretty good. Just have to make sure you install all Vista updates first otherwise it won't work.

Certainly Microsoft are claiming it's a much faster browser so we shall see.

I installed it about a week ago and removed it the next day. It breaks so many sites it is unbelievable, you will spend most of your time switching to IE7 compatability mode.

Do yourself a favour and wait for the next beta, it has got to be better than this one.

****ed up by 360 deg., apparently via Java. Before that I was very happy with it.

Since then, now on 64bit OS, so using Firefox.

Still not near as easy to use as IE8 and not any faster on the sites I access.
