Ok, credit crunch, economic downturn, monetary meltdown etc...

Show me your best effort with the least expensive kit...

Post a shot you consider to be "good" with a line stating the kit and its purchase price total.

Time to get the £9.99 Argos point and shoots out...

Probably not a worthy submission, but here's one from my refurbed Fuji F100fD, bought for £112.47 from the Fuji refurb store. Apologies for the subject - she hates having her photo taken.

Footprints

Camera: Ricoh L20 (purchase date 10/10/1994 - I still have the camera and receipt too )
Price: ZAR 299.00 (at an Xrate back then of approx £1 to ZAR9 = £33.00)

As this was taken and processed from film I had to scan this from print to upload here. It is one of my old time favourite photos and the footprints are mine and my two friends. I was walking backwards to take the photo, hence the reason for the middle footprints going in the opposite direction. I love the symbolism of this photo, because it reminds me of the different directions we have taken in our lives. I have very fond memories of my friends who were there with me :) and may the memories live on......

Great thread, and enjoy looking at the pics.

Thanks

Dawn :)

Interesting idea.

However, I can't even afford to buy a cheap camera at the moment, but I may give it a try on one of my phones, they didn't cost much either!

Taken with an old olympus point & shoot (got it for free as a present... probably costs about 2 quid). Plus a roll of Kodak Gold I got free after processing another film.

Go for it - we've had scanner stuff, so don't be afraid of mobile phones.

excellent thread!

Loving the scanner pics and Tomas Berlin Wall one. :)

Taken with a Kodak EasyShare ZD710 Zoom which I purchased refurb from Kodab for under £60.
