This has really stumped me.

So i am running a Macbook Pro and recently bought a monitor for editing and watching movies.

So some movies i wanted are just up on iTunes and what better way to watch them then to download them in HD and watch it on my monitor.

WRONG, HDCP error pops ups saying i can't watch HD content on my monitor.

From looking it up it seems apple have put on some block on this for some reason.

Does anyone no away around it.? I have the MBP plugged in via the display port to VGA.

It just seems completely stupid, I pay for the content and can only watch it on my small laptop screen :bang:

From what I remember VGA doesn't support HDCP so unless you use a HDMI/DVI display

Some of Apple iTune’s video content is being wrapped in HDCP copy protection that makes it impossible to output the movies on any non-HDCP screen

HDCP is a waste of time, it's been cracked already. All it does is get in the way for legal users

its not a block by apple, HDCP is an encryption handshake protocol between playback devices and screens. as above try a DVI connection, if that doesnt work your screen probably isnt compliant.

i use anydvd hd to strip the encryption protocol out (of legal blu-ray purchases) and solves HDCP issues, but its not available on mac.

Any info on how to crack it.? Cant find anything that takes it of a file.
