ITUNES ICANT!

if your on a mac it could be the preference plist. chuck it out . Also i presume your hard disk isnt full or down to less than 500meg.

Check your process list for iTunes to see if it is already running. If it is not running, when you click the icon, does the process come up for iTunes?
 
Just a quick shout, I have tried to help her and we have uninstalled, Deleted regestry for itunes, reinstalled. no success,
She has Quicktime installed.

and was using the v7 but re-downloaded v8...

You might want to minimise all other windows when you start. I believe I had a similar issue some time back and a pop up had been hidden under my browser window which I needed to click to accept. After that its been plain sailing. Can't fault iTunes.. works a treat :)

I think iTunes is tolerable on OS X, but the Windows port is absolutely atrocious.

Windows users - just because you have an iPod does not mean you need to tie yourself down to iTunes - you can use programs like WinAmp or Foobar2000 to transfer media to your iPod, and are much more versatile and overall better programs.
