I totally agree with you about the background being messy. The next time i see him [the Jay] I will have a word with him and see if i can get him to pose for me in a background that is clean with no twigs, leaves, brambles and dead leaves, if i ask nicely he might oblige me by standing on one leg with one wing open and sticking his tongue out.
