not sure about the macro thing, i think this could be an interesting subject but two things bother me.

1. the framing, think it needs to be a bit higher, or maybe just focusing on a smaller area on the mat.

2. why is the bottom blue? and i think its too oof at the bottom its just draws the eye there then out of the image. x
 
lol, I wasnt using any macro lens or anything, just a standard 28-80mm lens.

I was just messing about with the settings seeing if i could get used to it on manual focus.
 
So you all got whiskey for christmas did you? :LOL: I echo the colour change is a little weird.
