Yes
Since the EDL thread has been given the Cillet Bang treatment (whoosh and the thread is gone), one of the interesting things to come out (for me anyway) of it was the blog of the journalist who may (or may not) have been set on fire.

As a working photojournalist it's an interesting read: http://blog.julesmattsson.co.uk/

As was another mentioned recently during the riots:
http://www.leonneal.com/blog/

Jules also wrote an interesting piece entitled Journalists, not evidence gatherers: http://londonphotographers.org/2011/08/journalists-not-evidence-gatherers/#more-2164

Are there any other interesting photo journalist blogs?

Innocently come over to check the forum and bang my thread is gone...not locked, but deleted! Deleted! I didn't know they did that, but I assume something really must have kicked off since I left it last night?

Yeh, Jules's blog is great. I would plug my sites, but they're not really journalistic in their focus, so I shall refrain :D

I wasn't aware of anything further. Strange.

fleetstreetblues has usual snarky comment on much of the media - but I tend to get most of this kind of stuff off twitter rather than blogs tbh, moves a bit too fast for blogs, going down the big list of blogs that I do follow, there's not many PJs really :/

I don't think we're talking about reacting to live events here, rather interesting insights into the world of journalism, photojournalism and press photographers, for those not involved.

My bad, aye.

NYT Lens Blog has quite a bit of good stuff - and for just the best news photos from around the world, there's always The Big Picture and the atlantic's In Focus.

BBC photo editor Phil Coombe's 'viewfinder' blog has some stuff, but doesn't post too often.

more light hearted side, Jadedsnapper doesn't post any more but has some classics, well worth a scroll through.

Cheers chap, any links for the lazy? :D

The big picture is a good one, I have that linked, but I found Leon Neals after a link of his royal wedding setup, thencarried on reading it throughout the riots. Jules after the EDL riot thread. Both very interesting to read, especially after some of the comments on the EDL thread. I don't fancy walking a mile in these guys shoes, but it's interesting reading what they go through, just to give one some further background.

There's the London NUJ photographers site: http://londonphotographers.org/
