Just bought a Sigma 70-200 f2.8

and there was me thinking I got a bargain!!! One sold earlier at the £500 buy it now price!

Generally go on here for around the £350 mark.
Check it Wide Open though as its generally regarded that the MK2 Macro is the soft version.
I notice also that someone asked if it had HSM, if i recall every version of this from creation has HSM.

Well done! Now go out and use it! I haven't used mine in about three months, Makes me sick just thinking about it!

Its a cracking lens

Personaly I though they where worth about £450 as a mint second hand one, but I have not looked in ages

The MkI can go for as low as £350, the mkII is generally £400-450 from what I've seen. So the OP did ok, nice ot have one in warranty so it could be sent in for any front focus issues etc if needed. I ended up buying a mkII which I'm pretty happy with, works well at the rugby anyway.

Everynow and then I think about selling my Sigma 70-200 and 120-300 and getting a Canon 70-200 IS, but then come back to reality :)

Dave, what are you thougts on this lens?

I just bought the siggy 24-70, so thought this must team up nicely with the 70-200! ;)
