It would not start, Googled it, found that it is a common fault, watched the vid, ordered the Capacitors and a £10. soldering iron/finger burner from Maplin and I fixed the M***** F*****.........:clap::clap::):D:):):love::lol::bonk::cool::D:D

Hmmm, nice one !

An aged Viewsonic screen of mine failed recently and I found a video on-line explaining how to replace the capacitors.

Only thing is that I'm not that brave... Been trying to find a company local to me to see if they would take a look.
 
It was really simple, I can never fix electrical stuff usually so when this worked it was a massive:thumbs:

I would have a go, I got the Capacitors from RS components because I have an account with them but there are loads of suppliers out there and they cost pennies to buy. :)

I used to make beer money from people who had Panasonic VCRs back in the day replacing dried out caps in their power supplies. Would work ok til powered off but no 'whumph' left in caps to get going again.
You'll be opening up everything that breaks now ;)
