Just ordered the new 85mm F1.4G

Have they not offered a refund since they cannot/will not give a delivery date? I certainly be wanting me cash back asap.
 
Thanks for the link. Not sure how an import affects stuff apart from losing warranty direct from Nikon. That's a good price too.

Turns out, they never took the money from my card but I hadn't checked it until today.
 
There is a Dutch shop in the bargains section, might be worth a try, plus you'll have a full warranty

Warranty for lenses is worldwide - you only lose it on bodies

I'm loving the 85 1.4 AF/D I bought from Hugh. It's making me wonder what I'm doing with a bagful of lenses when 90% of the time I keep the 85mm on my camera!

The new one looks great but, for me, I like the aperture ring so I can stick it on my GF-1 with an adapter and still control the aperture.
 
park are normaly good

the 85mm D is so good on FF that i am not tempted by the G at all

i am fed up with shops advertising nikon stocks and not having whatever it is in stock.

There are some rip off prices at the moment, even on Grey imports. One retailer is doing the UK one for £1249 when they have them in stock. I think it's ridiculous having to pay more for an import. It's just people cashing in while they can.
