Keeping spambots from your email address ?

Just wanted to add a direct link to my email address as well as using a "contact form"..I used Java Script to hide the code but wondered just how free from spam-bots this is....any IT gurus out there with the answer ???

Another TP member recommended Obfuscate Email Address on Web Page to me and this seems to work very well, with no need for JavaScript.

i use a php email form on my site and it stops pretty much everything...
basically if you leave your email anywhere in text its going to be spammed, so using a php mail form removes it, bots can't get it even through checking the page source
