The TP52 - 2026 Kell’s 52 for 26. Wk 20 Geometry

I like your chosen shot, but I really like the mono shot too. The gritty conversation works great.

Thanks Nick. I think if I was going to go with either, I preferred the mono.

But rural landscapes are not my thing in as much as I like other people’s when I see them, but I never know how to judge my own.

Good shots Kell. I think you chose the right one.

Thanks Bill.

Good trio Kell. The mono works best for me.

Nice one, agree with your choice and especially like the view through the arch

I love the way that the tunnel is not a perfect arch, almost like the builders were practising when they put the bricks up.

Week 19 - Contrasts in colour.

Not as vibrant as some others this week, but I liked the Contrasts in Colour between the Red Robin and the Green of the garden. My little helper for the day - came back loads.

ETA - the top one is (I think) a different bird. Got chased off by the bottom one.

Both very nice shots Kell. The grub against the red breast in your chosen shot is a great contrast

Thanks all.

Walked past there again this morning and there's a load of them. Never noticed them before.

I think they're just another version of these:

Well spotted kell, it must be nice lit up at night, assuming they are lights down there.

It’s outside Embankment tube. When I went past yesterday morning I saw red lights shining through.

Thought - oh that might be brake lights from the tube.

Then it occurred to me that I’ve no idea if tubes have brake lights.

So I thought about that for a while

Turns out they don't, but it still could have been a tube passing underneath. Maybe.

No, Tube trains do not have brake lights. Because the London Underground relies on fixed-block and moving-block signalling systems rather than visual lines of sight, drivers do not need to warn trailing trains that they are slowing down. [1, 2]
Instead of brake lights, trains are equipped with:
  • Tail Lights: The rear of every train has illuminated red tail lights. These are always on when the train is in service to signal to the signaller and any following trains that the unit is complete and has not separated on the tracks.
