Kestrel kills hobby in nest box.

Amazing life and death struggle.
It just goes to show that we don't know half of what happens out there!

I couldn't watch but yes, Mother Nature is brutal at times.
 
Most people who see a kestrel hovering over a grass verge wouldn't have the foggiest idea what they are capable of. It's not in the same league but a few weeks ago I watched as a kestrel stooped relentlessly on a buzzard which had entered its airspace for at least 10 minutes.
 
A mate of mine has a series of shots of a Peregrine (might be a pair of them - can't remember!) attacking and eventually killing a Buzzard that had strayed too close to their territory.
