Great shot and quite frankly it beats most of the KF 'portraits' you see on here into a cocked hat. If I had taken such a shot (not going to happen!) I would be framing it on the wall!

I love the contrast between the colour and vibrancy of the kingfisher in his rather bleak environment. A tighter framing wouldn't convey that at all
