East Anglia Lackford Lakes & kingfishers

Hi, I went a few months ago and saw more kingfishers from the main visitors centre than from a hide, so I suggest getting a cake and tea first then if no luck move on to the hides!

I visited twice a couple of weeks ago, first time only for an hour second time for two hours. No joy on first visit, but on returning I had a sightings at Bernard's Hide and a better sighting at the Double Decker Hide. Both of these hides have very close perches. There were several photographers in Bernard's Hide, many were regulars and some had spent several hours a day in the hide. From their comments BH is currently the best place. The volunteers in the visitors centre are knowledgeable and will know of recent sightings.

It is a good reserve, I wish you luck.
