Landscapes haven't been my thing up till now, but last week I spent a couple of days shooting in the Lake District to see if I could adapt. Here are a few shots.

It was taken from the cliff edge just west of Ashness Bridge, overlooking Derwent Water.

I too like the 3rd, it has a feel to it like it has been taken from a helicopter.

Super set. #3 is an absolute cracker. The autumn colours and vivid blues are great and then add to that the mist and you've got a winner. (y)

Another vote for number 3

It shows signs of challenging exposure but it's a cracking viewpoint in lovely conditions.

Number 5 has a lot going for it - some lovely light on the right, the green strip behind the trees and the change between the near and far water surface. Can it be pushed a bit ?

For me 3, 4 & 6 are the best. No 6 is a very peaceful scene. Exposure is good too which makes the set stand out

A lovely set. No 3 followed by No 5 for me.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. #3 is my new desktop wallpaper. I'll take a look at pushing #5 when I'm back at my laptop.

Lovely set from a beautiful part of the UK. Add me to the list of No3 followers.....nice.

No 3 again , very well captured

Great set ,3 is a show stopper ,I also like the peaceful atmosphere number 1 has.

3 is great, 5 could be I think but perhaps with something more (I'm no PP expert so don't ask me what!)

Though it pains me to risk stroking your ego :p ....this is a beautiful set :)

A very good set of pictures with 3 and 5 being the stand out images.:)

Now I would be impressed if you could get some outstanding landscapes of Hornchurch. :exit:

3 is from surprise view and is great.
I also think the buttermere shot is great.

really nice set but 3 is stand out for me

Excellent set of images !
You must be very pleased with them.

Wow! So many kind comments. Thanks, all. Sorry I've been ignoring the feedback, but the forum neglected to inform me of new posts. I need to have a tinker with #5 (as some of you suggest) and will try to provide a nice landscape shot of Hornchurch. ;-)

Here's #5 again, this time with a simple 1 stop exposure boost in Lightroom....

And here's my only "landscape" shot from Hornchurch, taken when I was shooting a Parkrun event at Harrow Lodge a few weeks ago....
