Hi, today (hopefully) 2 Lancasters are flying. They will be overhead where I am midafternoon. I have never tried to snap planes in flight but this seems too good a chance to miss. In short then, can anyone recommend the ideal settings? I have a d3100, kit lens and a 70-300 Sigma. Instinct tells me to be ready at close to 300 mm, speed 1/250, and f. stop about 16. (it's looking like it will be a bright blue sky). I could be way off though, as really am entirely new to trying this. (Realise I might have no chance at all of getting a decent shot!) Any and all advice gratefully received. (if it's past 2.30pm when you read this, it's already over ) I'll post a link to the flight plan below.
