Landscape Workshops

I've done week long group workshops and a 1 day 1-2-1. I prefer the more relaxed group environment. As much as anything I go for the location knowledge - I stay with a gent called John Gravett in the Lake District and I like him and his set up. He's been there for 19 years and he knows the area very well. He knows a lot about photography and post processing and, IMHO, he's a good teacher. I'll be going again this year.

I think you can learn as much as you want to on a workshop, I can't comment on all workshops but John will ask everyone at the beginning what they hope to learn or improve on and he will work with you, during the day and in the evening when you are reviewing images - I like that format.

If you rock up with the idea that you can't learn anything at a workshop then you won't.

If you go out with other members of TP and ask questions then of course that will help but you have to remember they are there to take their own photos, helping you is not their main focus.
