Evening all.

Just wondering if anyone can help me.
Basically I cracked the screen on my laptop a little while ago.
Ive taken the screen out only to find that the place I was going to get a screen from have not got any in stock.
So, if I was to get a normal LCD screen and plug it into the laptop via the vga port would this work, or would the laptop need a screen connected via where the old screen was connected?

Any help would be great!

Thanks.
Tom

Right ok, so it should show up straight away on the external monitor, I wont have to change any settings.
When I used to plug it into the projector it came onto the projector automatically?

It should just come up, yeah. IT all depends on how the settings are setup - it could be set as a clone (what you want), or it may be setup as a secondary screen, therefore extending the desktop from the laptop screen.

Once you've plugged it in, if it doesn't look right, go into the display settings and you should be able to set it to clone.
