Laptop locked in 'logging off' mode help! [Sorted!]

Hi,
Hope someone can help me with this. I logged off my laptop as usual but it just shows the logging off message permenantly. I have tried turning off and on, control/alt/delete but its stuck. Any idea what buttons can I press to resett?!

Have you tried holding the power button for 10-15 seconds?

how long have you left it for?

if you hold the power button in for 5-6 seconds it should turn off.. however it can lead to further issues doing this.

It's not much good to you as it is so pull out the power lead and disconnect the battery.... wait 5 seconds and put it back together.

It will probably be ok
