Laptop or desktop for £300

I need to get a new iMac or macbook but can't quite afford one just yet. As a stop gap I'd like to get a laptop or desktop. Got a budget if £300. Can anyone suggest something that would be suitable for mainly photo editing? Ideally a 13" screen if it's a laptop.

For that much money either is fine - both will be low spec no/low GPU - id get a laptop for the convenience as a stop gap - then you can turn it into something else after.

Like wise, however getting a desktop means you could turn it into a NAS server or backup server when you get your iMac.

So basically either 50/50 haha - id go desktop to turn into a NAS server after.

Try and look for a used 2011 MacBook Pro 13" via eBay, Gumtree or Facebook marketplace or stick up a wanted advert here on TP.

Can you use your existing screen or do you require a monitor in your budget.
If you can use the existing screen you will get a better desktop than laptop for the money
