Thhanks - The first 2 were with the Canon 100MM Macro and the last 2 were with the Canon MP-e65mm, all lit with a MT 24-ex.

Hi - I think its a Painted Lady you can see the colours better in this one.

Nice captures DM, although I suspect this one probably has been finished off by the recent cold weather, unless it could find a sheltered hide out.

I think it is more likely a Red Admiral rather than a Painted Lady.
