I was wondering if anyone has any tips on photographing them.

I have my 18-55mm kit lens and my Sigma 70-300mm lens which does have a macro mode on it but it is up at 200-300mm

yes the tamron 70-300mm will be your best bet then, obviously it wont be true macro but it doesnt matter as you only want some abstract shots its not like your going to be shooting insects at small levels.

While it's warming up, you can get away with slow shutter speeds but once it starts erupting globules, they tend to need a bit faster. Follow Smalls's advice - fire away and experiment.

Cheers guys

Luke the 70-300mm is a Sigma they didn't have the Tamron in Nikon fitment

Sam that was what may plan was but I thought I would ask and see if any of my fellow photographs had any tips as a bit of a starting guide
