I'm currently looking at getting a Lee CPL filter to use with my ND grads but I'm confused as there are 2 versions.

The 'standard' one and and the landscape one i understand the landscape on as a warming effect but are there any other differences do they both mount the same and work with the grads and 10 stop filters in the same way.

Thanks

The standard will accommodate most focal lens longer than 28 mm,
will be good MAYBE for some wide lenses as they may display some
levels ot vignetting.

The thin ones are suitable for most wide angles but ALWAYS TEST!

A lot will depend on how many slots you have on the filter holder as to how wide you can go. They both work in the same way and work fine with grads and ND filters including the 10 stop.

On the Lee site they say the landscape version will go down to 16/17 mm on a FF camera and the filter holder pictured only has a single slot which will be fine in most cases.

Remember you will need the 105mm accessory ring to mount the polariser on the front of the filter holder.

I would go for the landscape (slim) version and it's the cheaper of the two.

The slim one is........slim so can be used with a wider lens. It also has a warmer cast to it for landscapes.
Also when I bought mine it was cheaper than the standard one.

I use the slim version on a 16mm lens with two other filters in use.
