What sort of stuff are you after?
Any music released under copyright has draconian public performance clauses attached. That goes whether you play it in pubs, clubs, hotels or the internet. Doesn't matter whether you purchase a hard copy or a download. You can't legally have, say, a ** track as your performance music.
Just like home taping, most of this gets turned a blind eye. The RIAA/MPA etc have bigger fish to fry, and policing it is difficult. But, there's always that tiny chance that you get caught.
Plenty of TP members produce their own music, which they may decide to make available to you, free for you to use within reasonable limits [i.e. don't go approaching music labels pretending it's yours..]. I'm one of them. So, what sort of stuff are you after?
Interestingly, TP seems to think that **, the world's biggest band, is a swear word. Bono, Edge, Clayton, Mullen - just typing these to see if it edits those out aswell...
