Hi,

just looking for some advice, considering swapping my 18-55mm and 55- 200m lens for one lens that is 18-200mm.

looking at my affordable options i have:

Sigma,

Tamron

Sony,
http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-sony-18-200mm-f3-5-6-3-dt-af-lens/p1013639

which would be the best? are these lens still suitable for getting out and about and doing landscapes and needing the zoom lens.

I would also want to use the lens for portrait work.

thanks

Out of the the three the only one i've used is the Sigma .So it would have to be the Sigma.

IQ was great and it's half the price of the Sony.

yeah both are cheaper than the sony so wondered if it was worth paying the extra?

and are they all suitable for my needs?

other than the cost difference, would there be any other major technical differnce between the 3 lenses?

thanks

The Sony is well overpriced - you could get the Sony 18-250mm for less if you shop around.

The Tamron 18-200 is a decent lens mind (the Sony is the Tamron but says "Sony" on it and costs more)

All in one zooms are never as good as a decent 18-55 and 55-200 seperately.
