Thanks for all the responses to my other thread.

So do i keep my 70-200 f4 is

Or do i purchase the 70-200 f2.8 is that will also work with my extender.

Or do i purchase the 100-400 is and sell the above.

Im confused.

I want to take Dog Potraits, Agility Shows and Wildlife.

Anyway i have the money to change now, but im not sure what to do...

I wouldn't want to get rid of that 70-200 if it is a good copy. 100-400 might make you feel short changed, i'd personally get on in addition to, not instead of. Perhaps 400mm f/5.6L USM is something to consider for longer reach
 
If you're looking for extra reach then the 100-400 is a great lens. I wouldn't sacrifice the 70-200 2.8 for it though. I'd rather have a 70-200 and an extender providing I didn't intend on being on 400mm all the time.

If you intend on being on the far end a lot, go for something like the 400L 5.6. Faster focussing and sharper than the 100-400L.
 
Difficult to say as I have both the 70-200 and 100-400. I'm not a fan of using teleconvertors, so I would weigh up what sort of shots were my priority before choosing. I use the 100-400 for motorsports, but as I don't do many meetings per year, I would have to say that the 70-200 gets far more use and if I had to lose one, I'd let the 100-400 go.

For dog portraits, I think the 70-200 would be great. Not sure about agility shows, as it would depend how close you can get. For wildlife I would opt for the 100-400, so I can see your dilemma.
