Lens hood advice

Do you want a "hard" lens hood? I'm a big fan of Rubber hoods, screwing in to the filter threads - you can find them on Ebay for about £5

Of course they don't offer as much protection for hard knocks, but have the advantage of being retractable, so you can leave it on and push it forward when you need it.

Hi guys,

I was wondering what lens hood you could recommend for my recent 2nd hand purchase of a Nikon 75-300 f/4.5-5.6 AF.

I have looked around and found this one on amazon..

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Maxim-Compa...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1274019132&sr=8-1

Does it look ok or can someone recommend a better one? I would prefer to stay Nikon but can't seem to find one for a 75-300.

Thanks
Clarke

That hood is more or less a copy of what is supplied with the 75 - 300mm Nikkor.
I'd go for that for best protection.

Cheers guys for the replies. Think I'll go for the one I originally posted.
