Lens Mounts (EF and EF-S)

[SilentG180]

This may be a bit of a silly beginners question but just looking to find out if Canon lenses with EF mount and EF-S mount will all fit onto a camera that takes an EF-S lens (Canon EOS 350D)

Yes they will. This might be helpful.

All EF and EF-S lenses will fit a Canon camera with an EF-S mount.

However, Cameras with the EF mount can take only EF lenses.

Thanks this was very helpful, I feel like I know a lot more than I did an hour ago

Hi Mike, as Bob says, all EF and EF-S lenses will fit an EF-S mount and that includes the Canon mount third party lenses from Sigma, Tokina and Tamron will also fit and are generally cheaper than the Canon ones.
