Lens repairs - How long does this normally take?

I have called AJ Johnston in Glasgow to have a lens cleaned/repaired and they have stated this could take up to 3 weeks. Could anyone tell me if this is about average or recommend somewhere that could do this a bit quicker?

IF your a member of the CPS then it's usually a week, but that sounds about the right time scale from other threads on here who have had repairs done.

I had my Siggy 17-35 repaired a few months ago and it was 3 weeks then so it seems pretty average

Intro2002 have had my Tamron 24-135mm for 5 months

Fixation (Nikon lenses) - usually do them for me within 5 working days
Nikon - usually 2 to 3 weeks
Sigma - if it needs to go back to Japan, can be up to 2 months, otherwise 2 weeks.
Tokina - Took about 2 months, went back to Japan. Got given a new lens in the end.
Tamron - Never needed to get one repaired or send one in.

I have used fixation and it took 1 week but I suppose it deepends what needs doing and how busy they are
