Evening peeps ,
I bought an LG Flatron W2234S at tescos just before Xmas ,over the last couple of days it's been flickering intermittently on and off and finally it died this afternoon ,the power up light's still on but the screen's off.
My problem is i've misplaced the receipt can't find it anywhere , is it worth contacting Tescos or indeed Lg directly .My feeling is ,it's a lost cause .Now i've gone from a 24" screen to a piddly 15" screen :bang: .Any advise would be much appreciated

Don't suppose you registered it with LG when you bought it?

Stil; try getting in touch with LG, your bank statement will have it listed and the model may be new enough that it can't be out of guarantee.

Just been on LG's webby ,the warranty's on offer are 36 months for monitors So maybe there's a wee chance eh .If ya dinna ask ye dinna get :D

Sounds like it is the same as happened to my 22" W2234 - the power supply is at fault, not the monitor. I sent it away and they just sent the screen back without a power supply - rather than getting on to them I bought a new cable and it worked okay!

Under the sale of good act you contract is with the seller IE Tesco’s in this case
Lots of shops with try and tell you, you have to contact the manufacture but this is not true.
Also up till 6mths you do not have to prove there is a fault only after 6mth do you have to do this.
AS for receipt I think you will have to show some how it came from them Hw did you pay? Card also what about the box has it there info printed on it?
Hope this helps

Talk to Tesco. They are pretty good at customer service. And that's from personal experience

If you know the date of the transaction that may help them. identify the information they need.

You don't always need the receipt, it's proof of purchase that's required and a Visa debit may be satisfactory

It may be that they will simply replace it out of hand and send the duff unit back to LG.
