Lightroom 2 Web Galleries

Hi there,

I along with a Pal am trying to build a website.

Have got most of the framework into place and I'm reading up on Lightroom 2 at the mo, specifically the web module element.

Ther basics sound fairly easy to get uploaded onto a website, my question is how easy is it to link these galleries into a website framework.

Essentially my website will always have headers at the top of it's page i.e. About, Contact me etc and the logo/name which when clicked will take you back to the home page.

Essentially on my gallery page will be split between categories and my goal if possible is to have the gallery sit in behind each of these headers - i.e. you click the header and wham you're into that gallery.

I guess what I'm asking is do I lose the ability to keep my headers on my pages using LR2 so that when you actually get into a gallery those headers dissappear ? If this is the case is there anyway I can edit these gallery pages after upload?

Maybe I'm talking gibberish but I'm slowly learning all this web malarky!

I use a combination of Lightroom Web module and php/xhtml to do my site, I let Lightroom do the legwork creating the gallery, which I then take out of the Lightroom generated webpage and put into my webpage. I'm sure that it is possible to edit the Lightroom template to be how you want, but that might take a while (would be an interesting project though).

I use SimpleViewer.

It generates a gallery in any program u want, Google Picasa, Lightroom, Photoshop, etc
Then I have a script made up in Dreamweaver (the layout of my website)
Then just upload them both together and move the gallery into the place I want it

I use simple viewer as well, then put the file as a html snippet in my iweb pages. Website is sig. I think it looks pretty professional.

here is my site for a look. www.digitalmediadesign.co.uk it uses my own code as the home page then the links open the gallery done in LR2 hope its of some use to you.

If you don't mind paying a little, slideshow pro would produce flash galleries which can be set up to navigate almost any way you want (either multiple galleries within a single flash or have each separate gallery as a separate flash)
