Just a heads up in case anyone local planning to go there for photo opportunities.........

Don't bother. Save your £8.

Very thick bars of the cages - making it impossible to focus through them.......:shrug: Very few glass areas to allow you to shoot through glass.

Looks like the cages have been built up around existing trees and deadwood / scrub not cleared........ generally looked a bit unkempt and tired - with lots of empty overgrown old cages.

Cages looked to be quite small for its inhabitants compared with others such as Colchester / Banham.

Was all in all a bit depressing.

Went there last year and was OK, but not that great. Must be hard to run a zoo on this small scale I guess.

Yeah I guess so, as still the high costs of licensing staff, feed etc etc........ but you know when you get the feeling that maybe just tidying some things up wouldn't take much effort, so for minimum cash input could get a quite chunky reward............
